Repakol All Fired Up for the “Tropa US Tour”

The unstoppable combination of Miniong Cervantes and Noel Palomo, the heart and soul of Siakol, may be playing under the name Repakol these days, but they are still
producing the same beloved music that defined the seminal 90s band: gritty, raw, edgy, and streetwise anthems.

Even though the three-decade-old name of the band’s being used by another group, the abovementioned founders are those deserving to uphold its legacy. The fandom can attest to that, that is why their name became the temporary identification of the band while awaiting the court’s decision regarding the copyright.

The band’s attorney has issued the following statement during the media conference: “Legally sila Noel at Miniong ang Siakol and based on my conversation with other band member si Raz last time ‘yung iba (naiwang member) they tried to register the name Siakol or the trademark kaya sina Noel at Miniong, they tried to appeal. Kaya the court will decide on the appeal.”

The phrase “Repakol” is simply a colloquial way of saying “brother” among their fan base.

Noel is the vocalist and composer of Siakol‘s popular songs like Bakit Ba?, Tropa, Gawing Langit ang Mundo, Ituloy Mo Lang, and many more.

The band’s US tour dates are set for April through June of this year. Here is the schedule:

April 20, 2024 – Rams Head Live

April 26 – 58 Manor

April 28 – Port ‘N Starboard Ocean Front Banquet Center
