Takase Toya Set for First-Ever Manila Concert on October 16, with KAIA Angela as Special Guest
Japanese singer-songwriter brings Asia Tour 2026 “∞” to Teatrino Promenade
MANILA, PHILIPPINES — October 10, 2026 — Japanese singer-songwriter Takase Toya (高瀬統也) is set to perform in the Philippines for the first time on October 16, 2026, at Teatrino Promenade, Greenhills, as part of his TAKASE TOYA ASIA TOUR 2026 “∞”
(Infinity). The highly anticipated Manila concert will also feature KAIA’s Angela as special guest artist, with Japanese artist Fumiya Sato as the opening act.
The upcoming show marks a significant milestone for Takase as he finally meets his growing
Filipino fanbase, many of whom have been requesting a Philippine concert through his social
media platforms.
During an online press conference held on October 9, Takase shared that Filipino listeners
have consistently reached out to him, encouraging him to bring his music to the country.
“Actually, there have always been so many listeners from the Philippines asking me to come visit,” Takase shared. “Whether through direct messages or replies to my posts, they have continuously been telling me, ‘Please come to the Philippines, please come!'”
Although his previous Asia tour did not include the Philippines, Takase explained that he wanted to make Manila part of this year’s tour as a response to the continued support of his Filipino audience.
He described the upcoming concert as the first step toward building a lasting relationship with his fans in the country.
“From here on out, I hope we can create a legendary story together,” he said.
Takase Toya’s Growing International Career
Born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, Takase made his official CD debut in 2014 with “Kokoro no Uta” (Song of the Heart). Writing both his lyrics and music, he has developed a distinctive musical identity through memorable melodies and emotionally driven songwriting that explores love and relationships.
Over the years, Takase has grown from an independent Japanese singer-songwriter into an internationally followed artist. According to his official artist profile, his music has reached charts in more than 80 countries, surpassed one million monthly listeners on Spotify, and
accumulated more than three billion total streams. His growing career has also earned industry recognition. In 2023, he received the Grand Prize in the TuneCore Japan PickUp category at the Independent Artist Awards by TuneCore Japan, followed by another milestone in April 2024 when he surpassed 100 million cumulative streams through TuneCore Japan.
As his audience has expanded internationally, Takase has performed across major cities in East and Southeast Asia, including Taipei, Seoul, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Hong Kong, and cities across China.
His latest tour follows the digital release of his fifth album, “∞” (Infinity), on August 8, 2026, marking another chapter in his musical journey.
Unlike a large-scale arena concert, the Manila stop is designed as an intimate live experience, allowing Filipino fans to connect more closely with Takase and his music.
KAIA Angela Joins as Special Guest Artist
Adding to the excitement of Takase’s Manila debut is the participation of Angela, leader and member of Filipino P-Pop girl group KAIA, who has been announced as a special guest artist for the concert.
During the press conference, Takase shared that his decision to invite Angela was inspired by his desire to connect more closely with Filipino audiences and explore musical collaborations with local artists.
After discovering KAIA and listening to their music, he found that their sound complemented his own musical style.
“I’ve always wanted to get much closer to everyone in the Philippines,” Takase shared, explaining his interest in connecting with the local P-Pop scene.
He also expressed enthusiasm about the creative possibilities of performing alongside Angela, particularly the musical dynamic between male and female vocals.
“I thought it would be great if we could sing a duet song together,” he said.
Takase added that he hopes their meeting could open opportunities for future musical collaborations, describing his interest in exploring music together through a spontaneous, jam-session-like experience.
“I really want to see what kind of collaboration we can create,” he shared.
KAIA has been steadily expanding its presence beyond the Philippines through international music showcases and cultural exchange initiatives. Most recently, the five-member P-Pop group participated in Music Matters Live 2026 in Singapore.
Angela’s participation adds a Filipino musical presence to Takase’s first Manila concert and presents an opportunity for both artists to connect with each other’s audiences. An Intimate First Meeting with Filipino Fans
For Takase, the Manila stop represents more than another destination on his Asia Tour. It is
an opportunity to finally meet the Filipino listeners who have followed and supported his music over the years.
The intimate setting of Teatrino Promenade will allow audiences to experience his songwriting, music, and live performance in a closer and more personal environment.
With his latest album, a growing international following, and special performances featuring KAIA Angela and Fumiya Sato, Takase’s first Manila concert promises to be a memorable introduction to his Filipino audience.
