Full Information on WhatsApp’s New Design for Android Users

Recently, WhatsApp added the feature of pinning multiple messages within a chat. The widely used messaging app has begun to roll out a new design for the header of the status updates.

The Meta-owned app has reportedly begun rolling out a revised design for the status updates banner, per a WABetaInfo post. Currently, only Android beta testers have access to the new layout; in order to use it, users must apply update version 2.23.26.3.

The article claims that WhatsApp is selecting beta participants by pushing out two more buttons—a pencil and a camera icon—in the status update header.

“Previously, WhatsApp featured two floating action buttons to facilitate content sharing on the status. However, with the inclusion of channels in the Updates tab, these floating buttons became less coherent. By integrating the camera and pencil icons into the status updates header, we believe that WhatsApp aims to enhance the user experience by maintaining a cleaner and more organised appearance,” states the report.

WhatsApp launches the Channel Alerts function

The Channels Alerts function was recently made available to beta testers on WhatsApp. The app’s version 2.23.26.6 update has made this feature available to Android beta testers, according to WABetaInfo.

By providing real-time alerts on the state of their channels, especially with regard to any suspensions, the Channel Alerts feature seeks to improve the channel managers’ overall user experience. This tool allows administrators to get alerts about potential policy violations on WhatsApp. Moreover, administrators can use the Channel Alerts panel to directly request a review of their suspension.
