Marinella Moran Comes Back to Show Business as a Film Producer

Known chiefly for ‘Sa Paraiso ni Efren’ aside from a slew of sexy films, Marinella Moran is finally coming back to the Philippine entertainment scene. This time, together
with her manager for more than a decade, Lito de Guzman, they announced that the actress-entrepreneur will now dabble in producing movies.

Lito mentioned an upcoming film by the tried and tested tandem of director Joel Lamangan and screenwriter Eric Ramos, ‘Unfaithful Night’, which the sexy actress will invest
in. It is going to be a straight drama movie with no intimate scenes whatsoever.

The ‘Paraiso ni Efren’ also welcomes a future project with Vivamax, if there will be an offer on the table. However, she might not be doing sexy roles like before since she’s
conscious of her current figure. “Depende. Ipaparenovate ko muna,” she said.

The single mother of 3 is also very much open to accepting mom roles.

“Okay naman kami kaso talagang iba yung pananaw niya sa buhay. Hindi ko alam kung ano’ng gusto niyang achieve na ganun pero dapat hindi kayo [showbiz reporters] kalimutan,”
Moran said regarding her contemporary, Ramona Revilla. She acknowledged how she’s closer to members of the media rather than her fellow celebrities, and is very grateful for
their help in uplifting her career before.

De Guzman dropped his two cents’ as well regarding Revilla: “Noon gusto niya ng magpakamasa pero ngayon gusto niyang magpaka-high end. Flexible siya.” Marinella is one of the
artists closest to him, together with Hazel Espinosa and Yda Manzano, who both lived with him for awhile.

When asked about Yul Servo, she ckarifies that she has never met up with him. The last time they saw each other was in the 90’s. She was surprised that he is now the Vice
Mayor of Manila. When an entertainment reporter joked about her liking Isko Moreno more, she laughed and said: “I love them both”. When it comes to the size of their arsenal,
Marinella said: “Tanungin mo ako kung saang anggulo”.

“Pinagdaanan ko actually yung pagbabalik ko dito kasi, dahil nung sa pandemic kasi, yung mga iba kasing reporters nasa…nandodoon…may connection ako kanila, so, yun din yung
isa na…may mga bulong, yung ganito ganyan, eh, I hope na masagot ko yung mga bulong…kung hindi ko kakayanin lahat, masagot ko man lang yung iba,” she said.

It was in the late 90’s, during the height of her career, that Marinella left her first love, acting and show business, to study abroad and obtain a college diploma. Some of
her other films include ‘Burlesk King’, ‘Dalawang Pisngi Ng Langit’, ‘Kapitan Ambo’, ‘Sakim Sa Pag ibig’, and ‘Kamandag Ng Rosas’.
