Tropical Depression’s return to the Club Scene Area of Responsibility on May 10, 2025, at Aromata QC promises to be nothing short of electric

It’s a comeback fueled by a powerhouse partnership between Experience Travel and Living, Pinoy Xtreme Channel, 104.2 Star Radio, and the reggae legends themselves. “Tama rin ang collaboration na ’to—para kaming mga bata ulit,” reflects guitarist Bong Lennon Eudala, capturing the youthful energy that’s kept the band’s spirit alive for nearly four decades.

Formed in 1987 by the late Dominic “Papadom” Gamboa and Eudala, Tropical Depression first broke into the mainstream in 1990 with revolutionary OPM reggae hits like “Kapayapaan,” “Bilog Na Naman ang Buwan,” and “Ala-ala.” Their sound, which is comprised of a potent blend of laid-back grooves and socially conscious lyrics, helped redefine Filipino reggae and remains as relevant today as it was at the turn of the ’90s.

Eudala admits that connecting with younger audiences presents its own challenge: “Ang challenge namin ngayon ay mai-share sa mga bata… napakahirap kasi dami na nilang choices of music… saka akala nila sa Reggae ay novelty, but it is also revolutionary songs… na makakatulong sa consciousness ng tao.” It’s this enduring message—peace and awareness—that Tropical Depression aims to breathe back into the local music scene.

The show kicks off at 8:00 PM on the 10th of May, with tickets priced only at ₱500. For more information, just message More than EM Entertainment Production’s Facebook Page. As Tropical Depression rekindles its reggae flame, one can’t help but ask: Are you ready to feel the bass, the bongos, and the band’s undying call for peace once more?
