Lizzie Aguinaldo is so Much More than a Moira Doppelganger

A fresh face in the music scene, this 15-year-old lass from Cavite whose pretty face is a dead ringer for Moira dela Torre may just be in Grade 9, but she already has a fan club and a billboard. Lizzie Aguinaldo, the great great granddaughter of late Pres. Emilio Aguinaldo, just debuted as a new Star Music Artist, and also gave us first dibs on her new music video for her single ‘Baka Pwede Na’,

“Sobrang supportive po ng classmates ko and students. Hindi ko po inexpect na magkakabillboard po ako,” she shared. “Yung bagong single ko po tells about na…yung feeling na may gusto ka po sa isang tao na eto na yon. Pwede na tayo. Baka eto na yung right time natin together,” Lizzie said regarding her song penned by director Joven Tan.

At first, the teen singer was overhelmed when recording her song.  “Oh my God! Dati nakanta lang ako sa cr, ngayon po nakanta na ako sa totoong recording studio,” she exclaimed.

Lizzie revealed that she is open to accepting acting gigs as well and plans to take the STEM strand in preparation for taking up architecture in college. She is thankful to her parents, classmates and teachers for being so supportive of her career.

As a musical artist, the young songstress is open to collaborating with other established artists, such as SB19 and Zack Tabudlo.  Her SB19 bias is Stell and she wants to do a cover of their song ‘SLMT’.

As a girl well into her adolescence, unsurprisingly, she has a crush in the K-pop entertainment industry: Jake of Enhypen. When it comes to the local scene, she finds Kyle Echarri cute in displaying the Filipino trait of being hospitable in his Youtube vlogs.

When it comes to watching to local shows, she swears by classic Kapamilya teleseryes such as ‘Pangako Sa’yo’ and ‘Doble Kara’.

Roxy Liquigan, the head of Star Music, and Jonathan Manalo, the creative director of the same label, affirm that their newest artist has all the makings of a star, with her impressive talents, enthusiasm, and beauty.

The love for their song “Baka Pwede Na” is manifested around the country, as it is frequently part of the best song playlists. Furthermore, the song can be accessed digitally through various online streaming platforms.

Lizzie is definitely carving out her own identity in the music scene, slowly but surely.
