Miss Cosmo World Philippines Will Let You Take Home Both 1 Million Pesos and the Crown
The to-die-for scrumptiousness of the shrimp cocktails and eggplants of Kao Manila just made the invited guests anticipate the launch of the Miss Cosmo World Philippines, the first pageant in the country to offer 1 million pesos cash prize to the winner.
This is not surprising considering Miss Cosmo World 2022 Meiji Cruz, the Philippine franchise holder of the pageant originating in Malaysia, took home $100,000 or over 5 million pesos in cash, on top of other prizes totaling 19 million reportedly.
Brand ambassador and TV host Cruz is the best first to spearhead this endeavor, which aims to empower women by promoting financial literacy, diversity, inclusivity, and social responsibility. The 28-year-old is a UP alumna who holds three bachelor’s degree and is on the way to acquiring her master’s.
“I have this opportunity as a precursor of inspiration of hope and empowerment to the next beauty queen who embodies the world-class Filipina,” she said.
Also present during the launch were key members of the organizing company, Cosmic Beauty Inc., who are national director Rodgil Flores, advisor Joee Guilas, legal counsel Atty. Adel Reyes, and business consultant Laurens Jan Domingo. Beauty queens Binibining Pilipinas 2021 finalist Jasmin Dimacangan, Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2022 Chelsea Fernandez, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2022 Gabby Basiano, and Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne also graced the inaugural ceremony of Miss Cosmo World Philippines 2023.
