Magicvoyz Debuts Officially at Viva Cafe

Magicvoyz, a new sing and dance guy group, is the brainchild of star builder Lito de Guzman. They’re both managed by Viva Records and LDG Productions. The 7 members are the following: Jhon Mark Marcia, Juan Paulo Calma, Mhack Morales, Rave Obado, Jace Ramos, Ian Briones, and Johan Shane.

“Nakaka-miss ulit ang mag-manage ng grupo. Sing and dance talaga ang challenge ko sa buhay. Nakikita ko kasi na patok ngayon ang mga boy group. So, naisip bakit hindi ako mag-training ng mga boys na nag-lead na sa mga movies,” shared Lito de Guzman, the head honcho of LDG Productions. Lito aka LDG is also the one responsible for making these groups popular: Baywalk Bodies, Wonder Gays, and Batchmates.

The show started promptly at 9 o’clock in the evening. There was a pre-show hosted by stand-up comedians Caramel and —-, who are also LDG Talents. They set the energy for the night by performing an 80’s OPM Medley comprised of Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko, Bongga Ka ‘Day, Rock Baby Rock, and Sumayaw Sumunod. The other artists of Lito de Guzman who performed are Marianne Saint, Ayah Alfonso, Robb Guinto, Justine Joyce, Yda Manzano, and Krista Miller.

Personally, my favorite bit is when Robb and Justine asked three guys to come u onstage for a “moaning competition”. What a subjugated salaciousness.

Magicvoyz opened their main show with Wag Mo Akong Titigan, one of their two new singles currently out on streaming platforms. The other single is Bintana which they did not perform that night but I’m looking forward to it in the future.

They then showcased their romantic and sweet side with Honey My Love so Sweet, which is the opposite of their third number in which they gyrated to Believer, showcasing the daring and fiery side of Magicvoyz. There’s a solo performance of Palagi, and a trio performed Mahal na MahalAside from the rousing opening, the numbers which struck a chord with me are the ones that followed: Jace and Johan’s performances of Maybe this Time and 24K.

Johann was able to showcase his vocal prowess via some solo songs. During their after-show interview, it was revealed that he’s the last member to complete Magicvoyz, with Viva’s big boss Vic del Rosario, Jr. personally recommending him.
