‘Not Superman’ by John Rendez Honors Modern Day Heroes

Singer-rapper John Rendez sends a heartfelt message via his upcoming single from Star Music titled ‘Not Superman’, which will drop across different platforms this Friday, January 29.

ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo composed and produced this alternative pop track which illustrates the perseverance of people in helping others even though they themselves have finite resources.

The song will showcase the baritone voice and rapping skills of the Star Music artist which will be totally different from the style of his single ‘Think About It’ which was released in 2019.

It was in 2019 when he won in the PMPC Star Awards for Music for ‘Folk/Country Recording of the Year’s for his debut single ‘Start All Over Again’ written and produced as well by Manalo under Star Music.

Aside from dabbling in music, John is also an actor who has made appearances in the following films: “Sindak” (1999), “Madaling Mamatay, Mahirap Mabuhay” (1996), and “Whistleblower” (2016). The latter is where he was able to act alongside his close friend and manager, the one and only Superstar, Nora Aunor.
