FFCCCI Welcomed Chinese New Year with Pomp, Grandeur, and Honors

Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) led by President Cecilio K. Pedro held the yearly Chinese New Year dinner reception and special awards ceremony last Wednesday at the Golden Bay Seafood Restaurant in Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City.

The occasion served as a reminder of the Lunar New Year’s significance.

Five prominent individuals with Filipino-Chinese ancestry were honored for their contributions to culture, diplomacy, and civic engagement of the Philippines.

They are former First Lady Imelda Marcos, ELiza Romualdez Valto, Ricky Lee, Jessica Soho, and Kenneth Cobonpue.

The event coincides with the beginning of the celebrations for Philippine-China diplomatic relations’ 50th anniversary.
