Indie Movie Producer Baby Go Files COC as Part of ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ Partylist

Baby Go, known for her award-winning films produced under BG Productions International, is entering a new arena. Last October 7, she got tapped to be the third nominee of the Bagong Pilipinas party-list and had a smooth COC filing at the Manila Hotel.

The party-list aims to put food on every table of the Filipino people by providing equal and ample job opportunities to everyone. “Kabuhayan at kaunlaran tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas” is is their mantra.

Even though this is her first foray into politics, Go is unfazed by the question regarding time management, as she is juggling many businesses and her entertainment industry venture all at once, so she’s had enough practice. “Ganyan ang buhay natin. Kailangang magsipag tayo. Kung wala tayong sipag, wala tayo ngayon,” she said.

She’s totally not afraid to speak her mind regarding the “provincial rate” in  the country. “Eh, para sa akin, dagdagan man lang sana ng konting sweldo kasi lalo na sa probinsya, kawawa naman,” she lamented. Baby Go wants to go to different parts of the country so she can help those in dire straits.

The first nominee of the party-list is DILG Undersecretary for Mindanao Affairs and Special Concerns Alfredo Bayan, who is also a CPA and the founding chairman of BBM Pilipinas. The second nominee is the first Sororal National President of the Maharlikans Fraternal, Elma Tan.
