BMW Philippines add the first-ever BMW iX1 AND iX2 to their arsenal

The official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp., has added the iX1 and iX2 to its expanding array of electric vehicles. The BMW internal combustion engine models are matched by the two most recent fully electric models. These electric cars join the lineup of other EV models, showcasing the German brand of the Bavarian automaker’s emission-free driving enjoyment in the Philippines.

The premier BMW iX1 eDrive20 xLine

Its design features include squared-off wheel arches, strong proportions, and defining BMW X style cues. The front end is characterized by a large kidney grille, X-shaped design elements, and sleek adaptive LED headlights with innovative lighting functions. Its sculptural shape is highlighted by a sloping roofline. On 18-inch aerodynamic wheels, the BMW iX1 eDrive20 xLine SAV is propelled forward.

A thin instrument panel, a BMW Widescreen Display, a floating armrest with a control panel, and a wireless smartphone charging tray in the front center console all contribute to the interior’s premium impression, as does the elevated seating posture. The sports seats provide lumbar support, memory, and motorized adjustments. They are upholstered in Veganza leather. Three more comfortable full-sized seats with a 40:20:40 split for movable backrests are located in the back. There are between 540 and 1,600 liters of boot space.

Standard features include BMW Maps, a sport leather steering wheel, and two-zone automated temperature control. The new generation of the BMW iX1 eDrive20 xLine comes equipped with a multitude of standard features, including four USB-C ports, two 12V power sockets, a rain sensor with automatic headlight activation, a Sport leather steering wheel, intelligent two-zone automatic climate control, and a far greater number of driver assistance systems.

A powerful electric motor producing 204 horsepower and 247 N-m of torque provides the drive. BMW asserts that the iX1 is mated to a single-speed automatic transmission.

It reaches a top speed of 170 km/h in approximately 8.6 seconds while accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h. With a 64.8 kWh battery, the vehicle can go between 430 and 473 km in total, using 17.2-16.7 kWh of energy per 100 km efficiently.

The following features are standard for safety and convenience: Active Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go function, Active Navigation with Real-Time Traffic Information, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Parking Assistant with Reversing Assist Camera and Reversing Assistant, Cruise Control with brake function and front-collision warning system, and exit warning function.

The new BMW iDrive and the BMW Operating System 9 are also available.

The newest multisensory BMW iDrive vehicle experience is the standard BMW Live Cockpit Plus. It includes the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant and the BMW Widescreen Display, both of which include graphics and a menu system based on the BMW Operating System 9.

The 10.7-inch diagonal control display screen with voice and touch controls and the 10.25-inch information display are grouped together on the fully digital screen. Furthermore, Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM are used in the BMW ID feature and smartphone connection. BMW ConnectedDrive, which can be accessed via the MyBMW App, will be available for the BMW iX1 eDrive20 xLine.

Retailing for P3.990 million, the BMW iX1 eDrive20 xLine comes with a 5-year factory guarantee from BMW as well as a complimentary BMW Wallbox Charger for at-home installation. Mineral White, Black Sapphire, Space Silver, Phytonic Blue, San Remo Green, and Cape York Green are the available hues.

The Premier BMW iX2 eDrive20 M Sport

In the upscale compact class, the BMW iX2 eDrive20 M Sport is a trailblazing Sports Activity Coupé (SAC). It boasts a more robust structure and a striking coupe silhouette with dynamic lines. Its front end has a unique hexagonal grille and adaptive LED headlamps. Muscular shoulders, striking horizontal lighting, and an apron and spoiler with a performance vibe all compliment the rear end.

The brand-new BMW iX2 is easily recognizable as a pure-bred Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) because to its distinctive, visually expressive design, which clearly differentiates it from the brand’s tiny Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV) X1 and iX1.

The car can carry up to 1,400 liters of cargo and comes standard with 19-inch light-alloy wheels.

Its sporty and contemporary interior includes a smooth dashboard with the BMW Widescreen Display. There are cup holders and wireless charging on the center console. It also has better safety features and redesigned seats made of high-quality Veganza and Alcantara leather. Dual-zone climate control, a leather sport steering wheel, BMW Maps navigation, automated tailgate operation, and numerous charging choices—four USB-C connections and a 12V power outlet, among others—are included as standard features.

A Harman Kardon sound system and a mirror package are further high-end amenities. The most recent iteration of the BMW iDrive control/operation system, which includes QuickSelect speedy access technology, is also installed. It comes with the BMW Widescreen Display and BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant for touchscreen and natural language interaction, both of which are based on the BMW Operating System 9. A cloud-based BMW Maps navigation system is also available. Furthermore, Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM are compatible with the BMW ID feature and standard smartphone connectivity.

An electric motor with 204 horsepower and 250 N-m of torque provides the drive. Combined with a single-speed automatic transmission, it can reach a high speed of 170 km/h and sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds. Its 64.8 kWh battery pack has an estimated efficiency of 16.9 to 15.3 kWh/100 km and an electric range of 439 and 478 kilometers. The adaptive M suspension has a decreased ride height, sport steering, and frequency-selective damping. The car’s handling and stability are aided by the rear three-link axle, near-actuator wheel slip limiting, lift-related damping, and front single-joint spring strut.

The most recent iteration of the front collision warning system, cruise control with brake function, speed limit information, and lane departure warning with lane return are all included as standard features for your safety and convenience. In addition, there’s a Parking Assistant that comes with a Reversing Assistant and Reversing Assist Camera.

The exit warning feature, Active Navigation with Real-Time Traffic Information, Blindspot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Steering and Lane Control Assistant are additional features. For extra safety, the vehicle also includes a redesigned airbag positioned between the front seats and improved noise insulation.

The BMW iX2 eDrive20 M Sport retails for P4.290 million and includes a BMW Wallbox Charger (free home installation) and a 5-year BMW factory guarantee. Brooklyn Grey, Portimao Blue, Alpine White, and Black Sapphire are the available colors.
