35 Years of Celebrating Every Woman

This year’s celebration, which took place at the elegant Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila, is a tribute to Wacoal’s 35 years of commitment to empowering women and inspiring them to value their individuality and distinctiveness.

Guests experienced an inspiring and upbeat atmosphere that perfectly exemplified Wacoal’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity throughout the whole evening. The highly anticipated debut of Wacoal’s 2024 new product collection, which featured motifs honoring women of all ages, shapes, and colors, was celebrated at the occasion.

The event featured a three-part program: Philippine Wacoal Awarding Ceremony, Wacoal 35th Year Celebration Art Exhibit and Wacoal Fashion Show and Gala Night.

Philippine Wacoal Awarding Ceremony

An award ceremony to honor the significant contributions of different people and organizations that have been essential to Wacoal’s success in the Philippines over the past 35 years kicked off the day. Presented by Ms. Karen Ibasco, the 2017 Miss Earth and WWF Philippines Ambassador, the event recognized advocacy partners, department stores, partner suppliers, Wacoal staff, and dealers. A unique serenade was provided to the guests by the celebrated singer-composer Mr. Miguel Mendoza, who is best known for his popular song “Isa Pang Araw.”

Moreover, seasoned journalist, U.N. Ms. Karen Davila, the founder of HER LEGACY and a Women PH Goodwill Ambassador, was the featured speaker at the occasion. Through her personal experiences and life journey, Ms. Davila concentrated on uplifting women and shared motivational ideas that align with Wacoal’s objective to celebrate every woman.

Two separate pop-up galleries were opened after the award ceremony, providing guests with an artistic inquiry of womanhood.

This exhibition, which celebrates the various aspects of womanhood and displays spontaneous realism, brilliantly and colorfully represents the spirit of women.

Journey of Wonder Women 2 by Shape Women Org

Leading the charge is Ms. Mari Zhar Carvil, a visionary and ardent supporter of women’s empowerment, equality, and parity. Featured artists include Elizabeth Oropesa, Melissa Mendez, Cas Lib, Mickey Ferriols, Zarina Krishna, Nadia Montenegro, Hemilyn Tamayo, Pam Diel, and Zara Near. The gallery showcases the coming together of empowered women shaped by life’s trials who inspire other women through art.

Wacoal Fashion Show and Gala Night

The evening was marked by an exquisite fashion show and gala night, attended by industry friends and advocates of Wacoal. The fashion show showcased Wacoal’s newest collection through four themes, each symbolizing different stages of a woman’s life journey. Sheryn Regis, the Crystal Voice of Asia, tirelessly belted out “High C’s”, as Wacoal Icons and models alike strutted through the runway.
