‘Binabalewala’ by Anton Paras Last Day of Preorder is March 31

Anton Paras, who is signed with AltG Records, a sub-label of GMA Music, just dropped his new single ‘Binabalewala’.

He made the song inspired by “people who make a lot of effort on showing their feelings to their objects of affections but to no avail”.

Tonight, March 31, he is performing at Pit 88 Marikina 8 o’clock in the evening onwards. You can pre-order his song on iTunes until tonight.

Singer-songwriter Paras just ignores people who takes him for granted. A good choice, considering that he is currently taking up legal management and manages 20 to 30 cases a month.

Even though he wrote this song dedicated to hopeless romantics, he confessed that he did not experience rejection when it comes to love yet. However, he did experience being rebuffed when joining a varsity basketball team because many of
the members are at least 5’10” tall, which he isn’t.

“Super natuwa po ako, naexcite. Inedit ko po yung song ko na babagay talaga.,” said Paras regarding how he felt when GMA Music told him that his new song will be released. He makes it a point to work on a project right away when it’s
already greenlit.

“Distract yourself muna. Do things na makakapagpasaya sa inyo. More self-growth. Do things one step at a time,” is his advice for people to be able to bounce back from rejection.

For this song, he chose to work with the indie rock genre. “Para naman po medyo maiba sa two songs ko p[o. First song ko pe is medyo upbeat. Second song ko naman po is ballad R&B,” Paras explained.

He wants to be known for versatility and the ability to work with any genre. However, it was a bumpy road at first. “Medyo nanibago po ako but in the end nakuha ko rin agad,” the ‘All I Need’ singer narrated.

For his Youtube followers, his ability to play the guitar, his primary instrument is no secret. He revealed that when he’s composing a song, melody and chord progression come first. He then hums the song, and proceeds to decide if it’s
gonna be a happy or sad song.

The lyrics come last, since Paras usually finds writing it the most challenging part and takes more of his time. For ‘Binabalewala’, the process was quite straightforward. “Medyo may idea na po ako so nadalian na po ako. Tuloy-tuloy na
po yung flow ng lyrics,” he said.

‘Binabalewala’ is also available on Youtube and Facebook.
