Heartful Cafe Pilot Week on GMA 7 Perks Up Julievid Fans

Heart Fulgencio (Julie Anne San Jose) and Ace Nobleza (David Licauco) didn’t really hit it off at first. He ruins her wedding dress and her gate, and she literally pushes him out.

Heartful Cafe used to be a place famous for matchmaking customers as long as they complete 8 cups of coffee. But with Heart’s perfect pair Uno (EA de Guzman) not pushing through with the wedding after having made his proposal, her “bitter” experience somewhat affected her business and the cafe ended each day with empty seats.

Zodiac signs and horoscopes play a major role in this show but Julie and David don’t believe in it that much, though they have a shared fondness for cafes.

David likes going to cafes to study and because of its overall vibe that feels relaxing. Julie, on the other hand, is a real-life coffee lover.

Zonia Mejia, Jamir Zabarte, and Ayra Mariano are fresh faces playing supporting roles here while Victor Anastacio, known for his natural comedic chops, is the only experienced one among them.

What I find interesting in the show is the technique of breaking the fourth wall when Heart encounters tense situations and talks to the audience.

The show has aired two episodes so far and episode 2 ended with Ace being revealed as the investor who might be able to save the cafe for bankruptcy.

So far, Julievid fans or those who favor the  Julie and David loveteam are super supportive so the series manages to trend on Twitter despite Kpop stans hogging the top spots. Tune in after First Yaya if you want to watch the show.
