Pinoy Big Brother Batchmates Beauty Gonzalez and Ejay Falcon Reunite in ‘Paano ang Pasko’

“Actually, sobrang napaproud ako kay Beauty [Gonzales] kasi iilan na lang kaming natira sa batch Namin. Siguro ngayon, apat na Lang kami,” Ejay Falcon told a blogger during the online press conference of ‘Paano ang Pasko?’, a limited series produced by the Ideafirst Company for Cignal Entertainment. It premieres this November 23 9pm, and will occupy the same timeslot from Monday to Friday.

This is Beauty’s next big television project after the ABS-CBN golden goose ‘Kadenang Ginto’ which captured the hearts of viewers nationwide. This is a very fitting project for her and Ejay, whom she worked with last in a film under Cinebro. It is because the “Christmas Serye” is star-studded, which also featured the return to the small screen of Urian winner Maricel Laxa and Cinemalaya winner Julia Clarete in plum roles.

‘PAANO ANG PASKO?’ is created by Palanca Hall of Famer Jun Robles Lana and directed by Enrico Quizon, Ricky Davao and Perci Intalan. This special drama series revolves around a family’s unprecedented holiday gathering and how old wounds and struggles threaten to dampen the supposed joyous occasion.

According to Perci Intalan, although the directors made suggestions regarding the casting, it was Jun Lana who had the final say. “Yung lahat ng characters, buong-buo sa isip ni Jun at nakikita niya kung sino ang bagay.”

Ejay is playing an important supporting role while Beauty plays one of the main roles which is Hope, the second daughter that has a past with her sister’s husband. Young actor Elijah Canlas also stars in his first teleserye after winning Best Actor at the 17th Asian Film Festival in Rome and at the 43rd Urian Awards. He takes on the role of Noel, the troubled grandson who is about to discover the truth about his lineage.

Alongside these remarkable talents are the veteran actors Ricky Davao and Allan Paule, with John Sweet Lapus, Matt Evans, Danita Paner, Devon Seron, Cedrick Juan, Ace Ismael and introducing Justine Buenaflor.

Viewers were given a preview of the serye through a music video of “Pasko Na Sinta Ko” performed by Jona, posted on the IdeaFirst and TV5 social media channels. It has since garnered hundreds of thousands of views and excitement among Filipino viewers.
