Ogie Alcasid’s Dad Has Passed Away

Life is a cycle of birth and death. People mourned the passing of Emman Nimedez and Lloyd Cadena, and then celebrated the birth of Coleen Garcia’s son. Though tinged with controversy because of their age gap, there were still many well-wishers when EJ Laure and Bugoy Carino announced that they do have a kid.

Funnyman and singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid took to Instagram to deliver the sad news, that his father, Herminio Alcasid Sr., is no longer in this world.

“I will miss you so much Dad. My heart grieves knowing you are gone but i am at peace because you are in the loving arms of our Father in heaven. I love you so much Daddy,” the post stated.

Celebrities who are already awake this early morning such as Gary Valenciano, Sandra Aguinaldo, Pops Fernandez, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Marjorie Barretto, etc. commented their condolences.

Ogie’s real name is actually Herminio, hence making him the junior. His father was an appointee of Benigno Aquino Jr. following the singer-songwriter’s support during the 2010 elections.
